Donna Kukama during "Ilsede welcomes the world"

Donna Kukama during "Die Welt zu Gast in Ilsede" (Ilsede welcomes the world)

The pain of a wasp couldn't deter the artist @donnakukama from her artistic passion. However, no disappointments unfolded for the audience. Tension, silence, the rustling of aluminum foil in the wind of nature. Among the swaying tire swings, lies the performance artist Donna. Confusing and questioning looks amidst the schoolyard of Gymnasium Groß Ilsede were occupied with the question of what happens next. Voices? Gasps? Deep breaths resembling the quiet summer night? Minds overflowed with questions. All are merely an illusion of the senses. The sounds harmonizing with nature made the silence so loud. The perfection of inhaling and exhaling the body with the tones flowing from the speaker box merged into us. The increasing whispers of the audience enlivened the atmosphere. Numerous discussions, different interpretations, and profound thoughts became part of Donna's performance. These question marks in our minds didn't drive us crazy. On the contrary, the exciting uncertainty compelled one to immerse themselves in the situation. Full of anticipation and composed faces, the audience left Donna in the light of the setting sun.
