atelier:performance #37 - Dimple B Shah - THE DOCUMENTATION

Dimple B. Shah explored in her performance "in search of antidot" the Ukraine war. She asked herself how to deal with the current situation – as an artist, but above all as a human being.

After the audience had created personal drawings and sentences about the war on A4 sheets of paper and the curator stuck them on the artist's dress, the artist set off with a small cardboard house on wheels.

From behind a veil, Dimple B. Shah was weeping publicly and mourning with her voice. It was reminiscent of mourners who, in some cultures, mourn loudly for the bereaved in exchange for money.

She ended up creating a healing ritual along with a somewhat confused audience.
