performance:class is a new workshop series organized and facilitated by Studio: Ilka Theurich. It will be held three to four times a year.
The first performance:class in May 2019 concentrates of the memory of our body. Memory plays important roles in many areas. It is vital to our knowledge of the world in general and of the personal past in particular. It underwrites our identities as individuals and our ties to other people.
Furthermore, if the memory underwrites our individuality, then our body is a vase of that memory, which can be activated through different actions, rituals and exercises so that we can reach our memories. Even the buried ones.
During two days you will work with your memories, to develop a personal performance. This intensive performance:class can offer nine young art students or artists an interesting development in her or his own artistic practice.
The workshop fee for the performance:class - spring is:
125 Euro / reduced 95 Euro
